Neurographic Cat
9x7 watercolor and ink using Micron 01 pen and STA Lictin brush pen in sketchbook done last week. I started a neurographic piece with the wavy ink lines then decided to incorporate an animal such as this black cat. A fun painting.

Black Cat at Midnight
9x7 watercolor using White Nights paints on sketchbook paper 80 lb in Master's Touch book, painted last week. The solid black cat's green eyes are all that can be seen except for highlighted hair in his fur. A real challenge, I may attempt him again but on black paper.

Black Cat Juliet
11x15 watercolor of a black cat with imaginary background that is based on one of my shirt designs. The stool is also made up and the orange red is perfect for the cool greens and blues surrounding it. Juliet belongs to another artist. This is painted on 140 lb cold press paper. This pet portrait shows the subtle tones made by mixing black using alizarin crimson and thalo green.

Black Cat Halloween - #InkTober
12x9 mixed media collage on Cheap Joe's sketchbook (watercolor and ink with Pigma Micron 01 pen) begun yesterday and finished today. Top part is a black and white photocopy of my photo taken of golf pro Al's kitty Blackie. They live at Pinon Park condos by our place in Ruidoso NM. After printing, I cut her out and collaged onto paper using matte medium. Bottom part and text is ink and watercolor for #InkTober, various candies and pumpkins. I sketched one of my three mice figurines for lower right and he is talking to Blackie trying to get her to pay attention to the candy corn. You can see some small bits of gravel between the cat's front paws and I have sketched them on out, spilling into the candy pieces.

Cat in the Pumpkin Hat
6x6 watercolor on paper with drawing using Micron 01 pen last night. Every now and then doing whimsical pet portraits is just plain fun. Except this black imaginary fellow looks humiliated to say the least.
