Orange Tabby Sleeping
12x9 mixed media on paper done last week using art markers by CaliArt, watercolor, and pencil on mixed media paper. The paper is very slick so the markers performed well. The sleeping orange tabby is oblivious to the season.

Graffiti Cat
8x5.5 watercolor, Caran D'Ache crayons over Pigma Micron 01 ink drawing on Strathmore Visual Journal. At first I just put in watercolor and it looked so blah boring! So the crayons were added for a little graffiti touch. Now I like this cat and tail!

Calico Cat Caper ~ demo
16x12 mixed watermedia demo done today for the Midland Palette Club. After sketching with a carpenter's pencil, I used White Nights watercolors, Brusho watercolor crystals, liquid acrylics, India ink, alcohol markers, Caran D'Ache watersoluble wax crayons, some collage and a floral stencil for the background by Stencil Girl. A saying at the bottom left is collaged onto the yellow/gold area that says, "There's no such thing as an ordinary cat". White gel pen used for hair and whiskers.

Siamese Secrets
9x9 mixed media on Magnani 140 lb cold press paper done today. First I sketched the cat's outline with a chopstick dipped into black India ink. Carb Othello pastels in flesh tone, white, yellow ochre, brown, gray, black, and orange yellow used to apply the Siamese's fur. The same chopstick was used for whiskers when done. I was missing Jezebel, studio Siamese, today and decided to use a photo of her (although her nose was not that long like a purebred) and the pastels. Those were given to me when a friend's wife passed away and is a nice set of them plus colored charcoal pencils just waiting to be useful again.
