Pigeon Perch
5.5x8.5 watercolor in Masters Touch sketchbook, 70 lb. paper, done last weekend for another online 2 hour WetCanvas challenge. Most people do not like pigeons but to me their metallic multicolored feathers are amazing.

Sparrows and Pigeons
9x12 acrylic inks on Canson 140 lb cold press paper done a few days ago
for an online challenge. We were given a curved line, a long diagonal
line, and two short diagonals and told to invent an artwork using the
lines, so this is what I came up with that fit the bill. No photo references used so it is totally imaginary.

Runnels Street ~ plein air urban sketch downtown Big Spring TX
9.5x7 ink sketch on location downtown done yesterday in Ecosystem sketchbook. I was at the corner of 4th and Runnels streets and drew in part of the old R70 theatre, Lumbre bar & grill, and deserted Poncho's News and tobacco shop. The scene would not be believable without the inclusion of the pesky pigeons seen high and low everywhere.
