Virginia's Roses

3.75x2.75 watercolor on 140 lb cold press paper done a few days ago of another artist's rose bouquet her son gave her.  In this miniature floral, I've focused only on three of the pink and salmon hued flowers.  The actual size is below:

Soft Roses

9x12 watercolor and Brusho on Canson 140 lb cold press paper done last week, some fresh pink roses and leaves.  I used Moss Green Brusho for an abstract background then some mixed pinks, yellows and soft reds.

Impressions of Roses

14x11 watercolor on Kilimanjaro 140 lb cold press paper done today after a quick pencil contour drawing.  I put in darks first as I usually do beginning with quinacridone magenta in the top rose, then permanent rose, wetting areas here and there.  Some dry edges were left and some lost edges remain in this impressionist painting bouquet.
