May Sparrow

5.5x8.5 watercolor on Canson 140 lb CP paper, a backing sheet used behind smaller works that had marks all over, done yesterday.  You can see some of the marks including the vertical line in front of the bird.  The marigolds were grown over the winter as were the red geraniums.

Marigold Party

9x9 alcohol inks on foamcore done a few days ago, an imaginary abstract design begun by applying blue drops and blending solution, then greens, and adding orange last.  The orange hues reminded me of marigolds hence the title.

Pear Pitcher Blooms

11x15 watercolor on 140 lb cold press paper, a floral still life set up with my antique ceramic pitcher, white pot, and a clay pot holding mums, marigolds, and philodendron.  I had grouped these all together on a patio table outdoors.  This work is SOLD.

Wheelbarrow Whispers

11x15 watercolor done today on Kilimanjaro 140 lb cold press paper, an imaginary garden scene except for my old wooden wheelbarrow.  Flowering geranium pots are inside it while towering hollyhocks, poppies, hibiscus, petunias, and marigolds surround it all.
