Calla Lily with Cherries

15x22 watercolor on 140 lb cold press Saunders. This is a still life white calla lily set up with fresh red cherries on one of my tapestries. Photos were taken to paint from later and this is the first one I attempted. The lily was artificial from several purchased at Hobby Lobby. Partly wet on wet and wet on dry direct painting method. Ripest Cherries

10.25x9 watercolor and ink on sketchbook paper done today.  Using a Micron 01 pen I sketched the cherry fruit outlines and stems.  I could not find my tube of Daniel Smith thalo blue green or turquoise so mixed thalo blue with green to get this hue for a complementary color scheme.  Reds are:  Grumbacher red, transparent pyrrol orange, permanent rose, alizarin crimson, quinacridone violet, carbazole violet, then indigo.
