Snowbanks
5.5x8.5 mixed media painted on New Year's Day to usher in the new calendar and hopefully some snow. I used a white crayon on dry Master's Touch sketchbook page for mixed media first. Then added watercolor with Daniel Smith's Moonglow, and white gouache. Not much time this day as we were traveling so a simple winter landscape had to do. No photo reference.

Winding Icy Stream
7x9 mixed media in Masters Touch sketchbook 80 lb paper done a few days ago using white wax crayon and Rosa watercolors, an imaginary frozen winter landscape. In this scene I've tried to show how water freezes as it winds its way down amongst the various trees and bushes.

Icy Creek
3.75x5.75 watercolor and white crayon on Fabriano rough 140 lb cold press done last week, another imaginary winter landscape miniature. These are easy to do, just make crayon marks on dry paper then add wet media of choice.

Frozen River Trees
6x4 Brusho, oil pastels, and wax crayon on Canson 140 lb cold press paper done last week, an experimental winter landscape. I wanted to use multiple media together to see what effects would result.
