Flower Child "Garden Gal" reworked watercolor demo

AFTER version, 22x15 watercolor on top of the painting below. This was my second demo Saturday at the studio workshop.

BEFORE version 15x22 watercolor on Kilimanjaro 140 lb paper of pots of daisies. Realizing this one just didn't work no matter how fancy the frame, decided to draw a female figure and turn it vertically.

Zesty Zebra - Reworked Oil Painting

I've been working on this fellow for a week off and on after sketching him directly on top of another oil. It measures 42x32 inches. Previous work was a turban clad man holding a sword or dagger, most mean appearing and one of those mass-produced items from old Mexico. If anyone wants to see what it was before leave me a comment or two and I'll post him.

Lipsticks of the Garden

TULIPS - The Lipsticks of the Garden, just as the flowers and plants catalog suggested. I was in the mood to do vivid blooms as we are to have cloudy rainy weather today till the weekend. Drawn with colored pencil, I sketched the design after work and painted all in about 2.5 hours. Size is 10 x 13.25 inches, support is matboard with tissue and text collage using matte medium, and Daniel Smith, DaVinci, and American Journey watercolors.

Woven Flowers of Passion

15x22 work is actually two identically painted scenes of pink roses in front of a house. The original was ho-hum boring so a few years late...
