April Anemones
6x4 watercolor done this afternoon quickly over a partial pencil sketch of imaginary anemones and a few tulips against a red door. Tablecloth was done with a giraffe spots pattern stencil; pink and red shapes in foreground are chair backs. Below is this still life at its actual size. I've used Fabriano 140 lb cold press paper and Daniel Smith paints.

Pink Anemones Windflowers
9x12 watercolor drawn with my brush (no pencil) of fresh anemone blooms, commonly known as windflowers. This grouping was painted with Daniel Smith pigments on 140 lb Canson cold press paper and finished yesterday. A new color, Blue Bice, by American Journey and sold by Cheap Joe's Art Stuff, is the soft turquoise seen in the background of this imaginary garden scene.

Spring's in the Air - watercolor demo today
15x11 watercolor on Arches 140 lb cold press paper, a vignette of imaginary spring blooms, watercan, and little hummingbird. Today I took off work and did the Snyder, Texas Palette Club program, held at their airport. It was loads of fun on a bright and sunny spring day!
This is me holding the finished painting Spring is in the Air.
