August Afternoon ~ southwest still life

30x22 watercolor on 140 lb cold press paper, a still life composed of my Mexican clay pot, ristra peppers, old wooden ladder, real cow skull, a gourd and a red bell pepper.  Background is partially gessoed.

Skull and Chile Ristras

22x15 gouache on 140 lb cold press paper, a New Mexico still life of old cowskull and a large red chile ristra.  Both were hanging on a telephone pole in midtown Ruidoso where I snapped the photo in front of a video store.  The scan is a bit dark as seen here.  This work is SOLD.
