Caturday Night

9x5.25 watercolor of a cat enjoying his night out on the town, an imaginary scene done last week on 140 lb cold press paper and Daniel Smith paints. COPYRIGHT 2021 Kay Smith

Dave the Cat

15x11 watercolor and pastel of Dave, Lin's (of WetCanvas) kitty who lives in the UK, courtesy photo. Included in the current weekend drawing event participants have 2 hours to complete a painting with furnished references, with challenges sometimes added. One of Lin's challenges was to use mixed media so I added pastel accents hoping to catch the disdain on Dave's face along with the haughty grandeur of a tomcat. She had named him after her husband Dave.
