From the Florist
15x11 watercolor watercolor on Canson XL 140 lb cold press done last month from my photos of florist flower images. I used Rosa paints for some of the quinacridone pinks and corals. These were wrapped in red paper probably for the Valentine part of February.

Yellow Shasta Daisies
22x15 watercolor on Saunders Waterford 140 lb cold press paper finished over the weekend from one of my daisy photos. This one has a multicolored background that is broken up around its edges in an almost vignette pattern. Lavender shadows along with pink accents are just the right touch.

Shastas
22x30 watercolor on Arches 140 lb cold press paper, another one of my fractured images shown in divided vertical sections that together would make a whole. I used one of my photographs of an orange yellow shasta daisy and cut it into fifths. Then each part was drawn in pencil on corresponding area and painted as if each was its own painting. Each vertical is a different measurement; no two are alike, but all are in scale. I have done several of these and they always sell, probably due to uniqueness.

Daisy Pail
15x11 watercolor on Canson 140 lb cold press paper of shasta daisies and red gerbera daisies in a green pail painted yesterday, an imaginary spring floral. As it was a gloomy day the colors were perfect to imagine it was sunny and that all these daisies were blooming outside. Daniel Smith pigments used were quinacridone coral, permanent rose, quinacridone magenta, indigo, green gold, Prussian blue.

Watercan Bouquet
15x11 watercolor which is today's work. Actually I drew this imaginary garden scene several days ago and had to wait to paint it. From orange yellow to red poppies to rudbeckias (blackeyed susans) we have shasta daisies along with various foliage; some are negatively painted. This is on 140 lb cold press paper in a direct manner.
