Tatters Sunflowers

15x22 gouache on 140 lb hot press paper, a loose sunflower piece with an abstract background.  This is one of those paintings that just flowed and it did win a Best of Show its first time out.

August Poppies

4x6 alcohol inks on professional photo paper done yesterday from imagination.  I'm on a floral kick now so everyone will see more of those being shown.  In the beginning this was more of an abstract but when red was added the poppy shapes emerged.

Underwater Orchids

5.5x9 alcohol inks on Yupo synthetic paper using only 3 colors:  yellow, aqua, and pink.  With these primaries many organic forms emerged that reminded me of orchids beneath water.  Inks are by Tim Holtz, Ranger Adirondack brand.
