Spunky Sunflower

2.5x4 alcohol inks on glossy paper done a few days ago of an intricate yet abstract sunflower face.
Everyone enjoys the cheerful faces of these common flowers and artists never tire of painting them.

Leftover Sunflower

2.75x5 alcohol inks on glossy cardstock paper done this afternoon using leftover inks, hence the title.  The cardstock was also a scrap so both came in handy to do this little miniature.

Sunflower Summer

7x9.75 alcohol inks on foamcore board done today using three yellows, two reds, greens and blues. This abstract sunflower with its end of summer face is bowing into the sun as it does its daily duty.

Sunflower Jewels

8.5x10.5 alcohol inks on white freezer paper done today.  Using no reference and no pencil the inks were applied by putting drops onto slick surface and adding 91% alcohol or blending solution.  Inks mix best on Yupo or freezer paper as those supports have no tooth.
