Vertical Seascape

Pounding Surf
4x5 watercolor on 140 lb cold press paper done last week, another imaginary marine scape featuring the endless ocean or sea. In this view, I've tried to show the pounding surf of the incoming waves cresting as they roll with the tide.

High Tide

Dog and Boy at the Beach
6x8 watercolor on Masters Touch 140 lb cold press paper done over the past weekend as part of another WetCanvas event. Participants have 2 hours to select their image then render it. As hosted by Rousay, I cropped the ref photo to focus on the boy and dog playing and changed his swim trunks color from navy to red.

Tide Rolling In
6x6 watercolor using brush only, no pencil sketch first, of an imaginary beach and ocean scene. This was done last week in my Masters Touch sketchbook 80 lb paper. When dry splatters were done to mimic shells and rocks in the beach sand.
