OK, OK I Had An Oil Change!
16x20 oil done Saturday as one of the images going to DPOT (Daily Painters of Texas) show in Dallas October 17-November 30, 2009 at the Dutch Art Gallery www.dutchartusa.com. I've painted this still life twice before in watercolor and once in oil and the oil was disappointing so I redid it with much more enthusiasm. Its title is Green Teapot and Apples.

Now you have surprised me again Kay,(I didn't think that was possible) I never knew you did oils. This is lovely you excel in what ever medium you choose.
Hey, I didn't know you did oils either! Is there anything you don't do when it comes to picking up a brush and painting???? Walls, floors, canvas, paper...DUH!!! Wish we could bottle your creative brain...I'd be a millionare!
I learned oils at 9 or 10 years old. So this is like going back home again; love the smell of the paint. Watersoluble oils don't have the strong pungent smell of regular paints, though. I'm glad you liked this one.
What an oil change! Kay, the smell of the paint is one thing that keeps me in oil. I haven't tried the water soluble oils. You are such a versatile artist. Can't wait to see what else you bring to the Daily Painters of Texas show in Dallas.
Well, hopefully people will like what is painted and be enthusiastic about owning one of them. I plan to have small watercolors and 16x20 oils.
