French Daisies

15x11 watercolor on Arches 140 lb hot press paper, American Journey paints, just finished today here in New Mexico. Ref was featured on weekend drawing event on WetCanvas! and I changed its background to include a window. As I've said, there is something about fresh flowers with a window behind.

Love this one, Kay. A wonderful "country" look and love your use of color.

I agree, the composition is very inspiring to sit down and start painting right away Kay. and the daisies are not easy flowers to paint; I just finished English Daisies and it took quite a bit to paint each petal.
You did a great job not to overdo but give a great sense of these French Beauties :)
Thank you Kay,
Irina

This is really beautiful! I love how you have carried the colours from the wall to the vase. And I like the subtle detail beyond the window too. Those dasies really bring it to life! I could almost touch them!
