Blue-eyed Kitty

11x14 watercolor on Kilimanjaro 140 lb paper done a few days ago.  This lovely cat belongs to another artist's friend, so do not know its name.  Very faint peach color tabby markings are on its head with the lilac points indicating a Siamese parent.  The white mask and chest give beautiful tones to this kitty along with the vivid blue eyes.

So pretty. The dark background really makes the colors in the cat glow!
I recently adopted two mostly white kitties ... have yet to paint them!

Thank you Laura. Yes, the dark bg really sets off the cat's almost white fur. I hope you paint your new kitties soon!

Woven Flowers of Passion

15x22 work is actually two identically painted scenes of pink roses in front of a house. The original was ho-hum boring so a few years late...
