Orange Rudbeckia
17x20 watercolor painted wet in wet then wet on dry. This brilliantly hued orange rudbeckia was growing in another pot beside the urn behind so I've positioned it actually in front of the urn. I was at the Casa Decor Mexican import store in Ruidoso, NM when I shot the photo; small pink and magenta vinca also lend their helping hand.

Vinca
2.5x3.5 watercolor on Saunders 140 lb cold press painted today, brush only, no drawing with pencil first. I bought several trays of various vinca colors last week so painted the pale pink and dark pink ones from those. This is an art card edition original or ACEO. See how it looks in real life below.

Child's Garden Chair
19x15 watercolor on Arches 140 lb cold press paper, an antique store find in the middle of my imaginary floral garden. Dark pink hydrangeas, vinca, petunias, impatiens and others bloom in profusion across the paper. Three clay pots take up residence in immediate foreground. This one was finished today after starting last week.

Purple Garden Bench
23 x 15.75 watercolor on medium weight Yupo synthetic paper. A pot of bougainvilleas flanks the purple painted wooden bench at my studio. A yellow windowbox holds white and red petunias and vinca beneath the red trim of the pale yellow house. My favorite has to be the purple shutters guarding the windows. I used DaVinci, Daniel Smith, and WN paints.
