Daisy Petals

8.5x5.5 watercolor and ink line on Masters paper. Using one of my white daisies photos, several were sketched in with Micron 01 pen. These perennials are always such a joy to see come up with the warmth of a pre-Spring sun, through the still cool earth. Gerbera Daisies Display

4.25 x 7.5 watercolor on Fabriano rough 140 lb. cold press rough paper completed a few days ago this week from one of my floral nursery photos of gerbera daisies. Parts of the background and the wire table top were omitted to focus on the flowers. COPYRIGHT 2021 Kay Smith

Daisy Pail

15x11 watercolor on Canson 140 lb cold press paper of shasta daisies and red gerbera daisies in a green pail painted yesterday, an imaginary spring floral.  As it was a gloomy day the colors were perfect to imagine it was sunny and that all these daisies were blooming outside.  Daniel Smith pigments used were quinacridone coral, permanent rose, quinacridone magenta, indigo, green gold, Prussian blue.
