Coyote Prowl

Coyote Prowl 6x9 watercolor on Grumbacher 140 lb cold press done today quickly, sketched in pencil from one of many coyote photos (taxidermy models), showing the predator getting ready to pounce on whatever it has found on its prowl for the day. COPYRIGHT 2022 Kay Smith

Coyote Pup

8x8 watercolor on Masters premium 140 lb cold press paper completed a few days ago from some wildlife photos that I had saved for a rainy day. Most are taxidermy prepared so it is easy to get lots of close ups. This young male coyote pup seems intent on exploring his territory and learning wildlife ways of being a predator.
