Blue-eyed Tuxedo
6x6 watercolor done first week of June on 80 lb sketchbook paper of this lovely eyed black and white tuxedo cat. This was one of the refs featured on a WetCanvas online challenge. I enjoyed mixing different complements to make black such as alizarin crimson + thalo green and ultramarine blue + burnt sienna. Blue-eyed tuxedo cats are pretty rare.

Blue-eyed Kitty Bacchus
5.5x8.5 watercolor over marked plain paper done recently of another artist's cat Bacchus. I could not resist his lovely blue eyes and tabby markings. This was my answer to the Animal/Wildlife forum monthly WetCanvas July challenge as hosted by his owner, Mona Pihl. Thanks, Mona!
