11.75x4.75 mixed media on book text collaged to matboard done today. Sketch was in black India ink with a chopstick, then Brusho black crystals followed by Derwent watercolor pencils for colored accents such as her eye, lip area. This imaginary woman looks a bit wayward and if you can read the text is it somewhat suggestive.

Cat Asleep ~ junk journal sketch
8.25x5.25 ink sketch in junk/grunge journal done yesterday from one of my many cat photos, a sleeping tabby, blissfully unaware. I used a Uniball 207 pen in discarded book; page had been partially gessoed (white area) which is an acrylic ground.

Wonderful Waxwing
7x5 watercolor and ink on discarded book page done today, sketched with Pigma Micron 01 pen by Sakura. The cedar waxwing is one of the images (courtesy WetCanvas/Dave Slaughter in the reference image library) I've featured in May's watermedia forum monthly challenge. The challenge part was to do your painting in sketchbook style. Here I have made the tree branch an aspen for added pattern.

Horses Running
5x7 watercolor and ink using Staedtler 0.3 pigment liner pen on old discarded book page done today. Ref courtesy WetCanvas from current weekend drawing event in which participants have 30 minutes to choose an image and 2 hours to complete; mine took about 1 hour. The ref had mounted horses running behind these in front but I omitted the riders and just showed the herd of wild steeds.
