Purple Rain
6x6 watercolor in sketchbook 80 lb paper done mid- August, another imaginary landscape with rainy or stormy skies above. With this I've tried to focus on the rainfall and the turmoil the rainstorm is causing. Pray for rain!

Sandhill Cranes in Flight
3.5x5 watercolor on 140 lb Fluid block paper done over last weekend for an online event. The sandhill cranes are back, not in large numbers, but can be seen overhead and around town. The rainy skies add a fall/autumn touch.

Rainy Sunday Church
6x8.5 watercolor, collage, and acrylics on ColorSketch blue tinted paper done today. The little country church was drawn on thin tracing paper then cut out and collaged on. Skies were a mix of watercolor and acrylics with vertical brushstrokes to mimic heavy downpour of rain that we saw this morning.

Umbrella Parade
6x6 watercolor and ink line wash with Daniel Smith paints and Pigma Micron 01 pen on Masters paper done this weekend. Since rain is in our forecast next few days, I thought this outdoor cafe scene might bring it on earlier!
