Siamese Eyes

11x15 watercolor on 140 lb cold press paper, a cat pet portrait of the handsome Ari.  Ari belonged to fellow painter Robert in Arkansas and Ari recently passed away in his sleep.  He was a dead ringer for my Siamese Jezebel.

People Kitty

4x6 watercolor, gouache, and ink line (Uniball pen) on magazine card insert from People publication.  This is Jezebel, studio cat, again, whom I quickly sketched yesterday and painted.  She does not wear a collar anymore as she rarely ventures outside but I added one here for color and balance.  Jezzie really is a people purrson and has met hundreds over the years.

Politician Cats

22x15 watercolor of 8 different cats who reminded me of politicians, hence its title.  Some are asleep and oblivious, others chewing on everything, one hiding, one sinking maybe drowning (Obama), one cunning and crafty calico, one smirking, and my favorite is the pale tabby licking his chops and winking.  Too funny for words.
