Summer Poppies

6.5x13 alcohol inks on white freezer paper completed today.  What started out Sunday afternoon as a seascape ended up a garden scene of red poppies which I like much better.

Poppy Pouf

7x5 alcohol inks on Yupo synthetic paper done yesterday, an exercise with reds and greens.  I used Poppyfield and Lemonade for the poppy bloom and Lettuce for the greenery.  Greens were applied with a drop of ink on a chopstick tip.

Poppy Desires

4x6 alcohol inks done yesterday using four colors plus green.  In this imaginary poppy bloom it actually appears to be more than one flower behind the orange red one.

Poppy Perfume

5x4 alcohol inks on photo paper done a few days ago when I was actually working with yellow, gold, pale green and orange abstract and got this design that looked more like a poppy.
