Pearl and Me

5.5x8.5 watercolor using White Nights paints on Canson 117 lb cold press paper, done week before last while on a trip. I had recently snapped a photo of Pearl resting on my right arm. If she can catch me sitting down and still she will hop on for a little cuddle time. COPYRIGHT Kay Smith 2026

Naptime Kitten

8x8 watercolor on Italia 140 lb cold press paper done over the weekend from one of my kitten photos. This sweet baby is sleeping on white linens so she blends in well.  Cats sleep so much so that they can have enough energy for the short bursts of increased activity.  The term cat nap or catnap is derived from their behavior and sleep patterns.
