Carousel Mare
6x6 watercolor, ink, gel pen done a week ago in Master's Touch sketchbook for an online challenge (ref courtesy WetCanvas). The cluttered background was edited out and the carousel horse was cropped. I used STA Lictin 0.8 pen to sketch.

Carousel Steed
9x10.25 mixed media on paper done today from a carousel photo I cropped just to show one horse's head. Black India ink and watercolor was applied to wet paper, working only from b&w print and not a color reference.

White Steed Carousel Horse
8x5 gouache and ink collage mixed media on paper done today. First I glued a page from old novel onto paper and when dry, used a Uniball Vision Elite pen to draw head and neck of a carousel horse. The horse was part of a larger photo that I cropped and will be featured on WetCanvas weekend drawing event hosted by Helen. I left the white horse the white of the paper book page so this is not colored; I wanted the text to show.
