Coastal Sunset
5.5x9 watercolor on Studio Fabriano 140 lb hot press paper done last week for an online WetCanvas challenge; image courtesy Carl. In this coastal scene I have tried to show the variety of colors in the clouds compared to the shadowed foreground.

Coastal Cold
11x17.5 watercolor on Arches 140 lb cold press paper, brush only, done this afternoon, a coastal winter scene. A partially frozen waterway can be seen mid-ground while distant and foreground snow is evident. This painting is included in this month's Landscape challenge by Wendy/WetCanvas.
