Red Tulip Pot
22x15 watercolor on Daler Rowney Langton Prestige 140 lb cold press paper with Daniel Smith, American Journey, and DaVinci paints completed today. The old painted wood wall was attractive and placing red blooming tulips in a pot seems to electrify the image of this floral still life.

Candy Stripers
22x30 watercolor on Saunders 140 lb cold press paper, Da Vinci and Daniel
Smith paints, working wet in wet. Tulips, especially variegated, like
these are my favorite flower. A complementary color palette of reds and mixed greens is challenging to use as well. Reds: Alizarin crimson,
Grumbacher red, perylene maroon, quinacridones: coral, magenta, violet,
and permanent rose. Other colors: Arylide yellow, quinacridone gold,
UB, Prussian blue. This is an older work and is SOLD.

Display of White Tulips
15x11 watercolor on Bienfang 140 lb cold press paper just completed in a return to floral still life subjects and especially white items to paint. It is a more loose interpretation with an abstract background; I even sneaked in a hot fuchsia bloom or two in the back.
