December Redheaded Woodpecker

7.25x5.5 watercolor on paper completed today, a joyous fellow who has a berry or seed pod in his mouth.  This book page is slick and easy to paint on.

Western Meadowlark

8x5.5 watercolor on Strathmore Visual Journal sketched yesterday and painted today for another WetCanvas! weekend drawing event where we have 2 hours to select an image and paint it (ref courtesy Dave Slaughter).  My pencil sketch was 15 minutes then 1 hour to paint this vignette.
