Cold Bluebonnets
8x8 watercolor using White Nights paints on Masters Premium 140 lb. cold press paper done week before last while in the mountains. These Texas bluebonnets were experiencing a late snow covering their hardy plant structure. This work is SOLD.

Black Hollyhock Towers
8.25x5.25 mixed media in junk journal done over the weekend. Media included collage across the top of the 1950's page, sketch of plants in multilead colored pencil, Brusho wc crystals in orange, and watercolor in this view of towering black hollyhocks.

Cosmos Clouds

one drawn from silk cosmos that I've used for floral still life
before. On the reverse side is a white duck swimming that I will post

Proud Poppies
11x15 watercolor on Masters paper 140 lb cold press begun yesterday using brush only, no pencil sketch beforehand. These colorful poppies are in an online contest and they sing a message of Spring and sunny skies. Daniel Smith paints used along with #14 round brush. Direct painting and no glazes or multiple washes.

Daffodil Hill
11x15 watercolor done a few years ago of happy yellow faced daffodils blooming alongside white ones on a hill, an imaginary scene just in time for springtime. The front stems are negatively painted in this small floral landscape.
