Faucet Cat

5.5x8 mixed media on paper in Strathmore Visual Journal for mixed media.  Starting with a black Tombow brush pen I lightly sketched in outlines of the cat's head, faucet, and water stream.  Watercolor was added last to pull the composition together including reflections in the metal.

Thirsty Cat

11x15 watercolor on 140 lb cold press paper from one of many cat photos saved but not yet painted. I started sketching her yesterday then finished applying paint today.  It is hard to get cats to drink enough water but they will when a faucet is turned on very slow.
