Horses in Harness
12x9 Caliart markers on marker paper by Masters Touch mixed with Brusho watercolor crystals done a few days ago. I used my sketch of these working horses in harness which was done in black Tombow brush pen, making only the darkest darks black. Then I traced those lines onto the new paper, used dark browns for the tack (bridle etc.), then partially wet the paper with a brush, sprinkling grey Brusho into that. The animals were dappled greys.

Hold Your Horses
9x12 black Tombow pen ink sketch done previously. This is on Bristol board 100 lb, regular surface, using no pencil. I start with black areas first and when all are sketched, I use a #1 script liner brush with water to make grey areas; white of the paper is left as is. This work was done in 2 hours and later I painted a half sheet watercolor, a color version, of the two dappled grey draft horses.
