Pink Parasol

30x22 mixed media done a few days ago using acrylics, gouache, watercolor and ink on 140 lb hot press Lanaquarelle paper.  This started out as a simple sketch and I put it away for a long time and just now taking it apart and repainting it.

Japanese Couple

7x4 mixed media collage done yesterday consisting of alcohol inks, watercolor, markers on top of paper used to catch drips while doing inks.  Flattened and collaged to watercolor paper with matte medium both sides, a brayer was used to remove any air bubbles.  When dry, an old Japanese woodcut from the 1700s was used to sketch with Lictin 0.3 ink pen then details and color added with watercolor then sealed again. The used paper gave an unusual background for this couple who appear to be arguing about dinner.

China Cabinet

20x12.5 watercolor and gouache, one of my reworked pieces over a failed horizontal still life that had a red vase, white flowers, etc. I decided to make it more Asian by including fans in the background along with that style architecture.
