January Tulips ~ watercolor demo on Yupo
12x9 watercolor on smooth Yupo synthetic paper by Legion, a demo today for our Monday afternoon class. No reference was used, just a simple pencil sketch. Tulips in January are always welcome to paint or to see. Yupo is polypropylene, useful for any wet media (alcohol ink, watercolor, liquid acrylics or inks, etc.)

Presidents' Day Rose
7x5 watercolor on Yupo done this afternoon in honor of Presidents' Day today. While still wet on the imaginary petals and leaves, I sanded watercolor pencils into the areas with Derwent brand colored pencils.
