October Snowy Owl

8x5.5 watercolor on Strathmore Visual Journey for watercolor done while on a trip, a snowy owl against an abstract nature background.  Painted wet on dry with Winsor Newton travel set this imaginary scene was showing the wise fellow with October's colors surrounding him.

Spotted Towhee

8x8 alcohol inks on white glossy paper done in July but not yet posted here on the blog.  I see these towhees visiting outside of Texas and they're really lovely.

Gold and Red Weed

6x4 alcohol inks on glossy photo paper done recently mixing three warm colors for the floral part then Lettuce green for the foliage in this imaginary piece.

Tatters Sunflowers

15x22 gouache on 140 lb hot press paper, a loose sunflower piece with an abstract background.  This is one of those paintings that just flowed and it did win a Best of Show its first time out.

Spring Magnolia

6x9 watercolor on Canson 140 lb cold press paper done recently for an online challenge hosted by Vivien. Now this makes me wish for a fresh Spring and fall has already begun.  I've added an abstract background to support the pink magnolia flower.

Ocean Rain
