Shell Game

5.5 x 7.5 watercolor on 140 lb Arches cold press paper, AJ paints, done today in about 45 minutes. Some negative painting, splattering, and minimal glazing can be seen here. Shells are imaginary. I tried to emulate water softly ebbing and flowing over the tiny stones, beach debris, and shells partially submerged.
THIS PAINTING IS SOLD.

Basket Sellers Nassau

22x15 watercolor on 140 lb Saunders hot press paper, painted wet on dry. The photo I used is one of many taken on our last Nassau, Bahamas trip and loosely rendered. These women sat on boxes in street corners daily trying to market their wares.
