Balls Berries Branches
8.5x5.5 watercolor using Rosa Gallery paints made in Ukraine plus ink using Micron 01 pen. This Christmas tree still life of balls, berries, and branches was done over the past weekend as part of another WetCanvas drawing event. It is painted in Master's Touch sketchbook 80 lb paper and was great fun.

Kitten Khristmas
5.5x8.5 watercolor and ink on paper, sketched this weekend and painted today of an imaginary orange tabby kitten enjoying his first Christmas. He's managed to get three ball ornaments off the tree and play with them until the owner put a little Santa hat on and told him to pose.
MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!

Wild Fuchsia Christmas Ball
10.5 x 8 watercolor begun a few days ago then finished today during the continuous snow. No one was out shopping so I stayed in the studio and painted. For this image, I used a large hot pink fuchsia Christmas ornament. Light reflections are the shapes seen within. For shapes outside the sphere, I drew a nail polish bottle and let its top rounded edge be seen within the ball. Lastly I used a rubber stencil stamp to make the curlicue marks for patterns. Some of these lacy looking areas were imaginary on the polish bottle as seen on far lower right. Merry Christmas to all of you!
