Pelican Splash
6x6 watercolor using White Nights paints done week before last, before our art show began. Using some of my pelican photos painting this fellow was fun. I used a #1 rigger for most of the bird that is done in Masters Touch sketchbook 80 lb paper.

Pier Pelican
8.5x5.5 watercolor pencils and watercolor on Bienfang for mixed media sketchbook paper done today as part of a timed WetCanvas event. We have 2 hours to choose from 16 images the host provides then do a painting. This one was hosted by Susan. I liked the colors in this fellow who was perched on the pier waiting to see a fish.

Pelican Post
5.5x8.5 watercolor on Masters paper done a few days ago while on a trip. I love pelicans and this fellow was not budging from his post he was perched upon. Reference courtesy WetCanvas Animal & Wildlife forum/October challenge.
