Chipping Sparrow

6x4 watercolor, ink, Tombow black ink brush pen, gouache of a chipping sparrow painted on the first of the month.  I used another magazine card, those free annoying inserts I like to rip out and throw away, till now when I'm having fun painting watermedia on them.  Other artists are taking up the trend and turning out some superb little pieces.  This one was posted in Sketchbook Skool Facebook page.

Cheerful Chickadee

5.5x4 watercolor and ink line (Uniball pen) that is today's work on a magazine insert card, those annoying things which fall out or are too stuck to come out.  But the bird is happy walking along his branch amidst fresh blues and greens of Spring.

Nesting Hummingbirds

4.25x7 watercolor on paper done today, an imaginary set of three hummers in their nest looking for signs of Spring.  This is painted on a magazine insert card for Birds & Blooms.
