Blooming Boot in junk journal

8.25x5.25 acrylics in junk journal done a few weeks ago after painting the larger boot commission. In this imaginary still life the viewer's attention is focused on the blue contrast with the yellow and orange flowers. Only a few more pages and the journal will be finished. Flying Lotus

Flying Lotus 4x6 mixed media on 140 lb Canson wc paper recently done. I cut up an older watercolor work that already had bold color stripes then added botanical shapes for green lotus pods in ink pen, then washed across with pale acrylics. COPYRIGHT 2022 Kay Smith

Pam's Boot

28x22 acrylics on canvas, an imaginary boot bouquet commission recently done. I used several floral stencils for the patterns on the boot and various flowers such as the Texas bluebonnet, sunflowers, poppy, roses, and peony buds along with saguaro cactus and a feather.
