10.75 x 4.25 watercolor using palette knife on Saunders 300 lb cold press paper, done today of this quiet aspen wood in snow. Background trees were painted with a brush; this is another in my forest series of birches and aspens.

Well I never would have thought of using a palette knife for watercolour. Really effective and lovely painting. Must try it.
Thank you, Polly. It is fun. Just wet slightly the paper first then apply paint along knife's edges fairly heavier than usual wc with brush...
