Desert Horned Toad
7x9 watercolor done last week from my selection of photos for the Animal and Wildlife monthly challenge on WetCanvas. These horned toads live in one of my studio flowerbeds and I do not eradicate the red ant population there as the spiky lizards live on them as a source of food. This is on Master's Touch sketchbook paper, 80 lb., with White Nights paints.

Haven't seen a horned toad in years. Thanks for the memories, we played with them as kids in New Mexico.
