Magnificent Magnolia

11x15 watercolor on 140 lb cold press paper; painted wet in wet with darks put in first, then midtones and lights.  White petals are actually the white of the paper as white paint is not used in transparent watercolor.  This is from a bloom on my neighbor's tree.  I love its waxy leaves and petals.  This painting is SOLD.
