December Snowman
6x4 watercolor on 140 lb cold press Grumbacher paper, done over the past weekend from one of my saved line drawings. So color is all imaginary, too. A fun subject when you don't plan on any long serious work in the studio.

Smiling Snowman
9x6 watercolor on 140 lb cold press paper, an imaginary snowman decked out in his bright mittens and knit toboggan cap, trying to stay happy and cold before he melts. This was painted last December and has been submitted to a card company for consideration.

Smiling Snowman
9x6 watercolor on 140 lb Canson paper done yesterday, a whimsical snowman that looks a bit feminine with his twig eyes, mouth, and buttons. Colorful mitten gloves are its arms with a matching knit toboggan for headgear.

Finished Last (snowman)
5x7 watercolor completed last week on Kilimanjaro 140 lb cold press paper, the second version of an earlier melting snowman. That one had only one leg but I've given this guy two twig legs. Even though slowing melting he has finished last and has a crooked smile.
This work is SOLD.

Finished (snowman)
4x6 watercolor on 140 lb paper done last month that is now SOLD. I was waiting on December to arrive before posting as snowmen are associated with the Christmas holiday season. This finished fellow went to his new home in Florida and of course would melt there.

Goner Snowman
9 x 4.75 watercolor on Italia 140 lb cold press paper, another melting gentleman in my snowman series done today. This fellow is a GONER! Even the cardinal perched on his hat knows the end is near and he can make a birdnest out of the leftover parts OR peck at the carrot for lunch.

Almost Gone Snowman
6.5 x 5 watercolor on Italia 140 lb paper, drawn and painted today right after my studio overhead lights were fixed. Now I can see like daylight in that dark kitchen. This fellow is another in my series of melting snowmen and still looks quite happy to be Almost Gone!
