Sycamore

6.25x4.25 watercolor on Bristol 100 lb/300 series paper done last week from another online challenge. Photo courtesy Virginia Spencer/WetCanvas.  Love the bark on these trees.  Even though this is a miniature it took a long time to get the leaves and branches just right.

Step 5 - Begin aspen foliage

Using #10 round brush, I began laying in golden autumn colors, still wet paint on dry paper. You can now see more branches and twigs in this detail. Paint used is Arylide, quinacridone gold, raw sienna, gamboge, and Halloween Orange.
