Calla Shadows
7.5x5.5 watercolor and Brusho on 140 lb Canson cold press paper done a few days ago from my many calla lily photos. I love the dramatic contrasts of the dark background against the white of the paper. Brusho was used on the stamen.

Calla Lily Cascade
22x15 watercolor and Brusho done last week, a cascade of white lilies surrounded by their dramatic dark leaves. Brusho is easily seen throughout the entire piece; I used the green crystals that also include dots of yellow and orange, very beautiful. This is my May floral for a WetCanvas contest online hosted by Christel; ref courtesy her friend Anita.

Geo Callas
5.5x20 watercolor on Yupo medium weight synthetic paper done today from a larger composition. I took fake calla lilies and drew them then painted geometric lines over the background for an abstract look with a realistic subject.
