Majestic Mallard
7x9 watercolor done yesterday for another online event using Grumbacher 140 lb cold press paper. In this close up of the colorful waterfowl, I've tried to focus on the duck's eyes and yellow long beak.

Hooded Merganser duck
4x6 watercolor, ink, and Caran D'Ache watersoluble wax pastel crayons on another magazine insert card done last week. Featured in an ongoing Birds A to Z online with WetCanvas this black and white waterfowl is quite striking in appearance. Female merganser ducks are brown and grey.

Bottoms Up goose
5x7 watercolor of a Canadian goose diving for fish for his supper. Painted wet on dry Arches 140 lb cold press paper this afternoon. Pigments used: Daniel Smith quinacridone burnt orange, UB, manganese; DaVinci raw umber; American Journey midnight blue, raw umber violet, periwinkle blue.
