Snowbanks
5.5x8.5 mixed media painted on New Year's Day to usher in the new calendar and hopefully some snow. I used a white crayon on dry Master's Touch sketchbook page for mixed media first. Then added watercolor with Daniel Smith's Moonglow, and white gouache. Not much time this day as we were traveling so a simple winter landscape had to do. No photo reference.

Thawing Creek

Tree Trunks in Snow
6.5x8.25 watercolor on 140 lb cold press paper done over the weekend, a simple scene of sunlit snow surrounding bare trees and branches. The cooler hued shadows fall over animal tracks and parts that have melted in this winter landscape.
